The best vehicle I ever owned was a 65 Olds, Delta 88. 425 Rocket V-8, 360 HP and I believe it was very conservatively rated.

1972 Mercury Marquis did well on the interstates back in the day. Two years ago, went out west to Yellowstone in a 2011 Caddy DTS. Handled the 80 mph speed limits with no strain at all. Great ride.

The 73 Cutlass with the 350 should have been as fast as the big Delta 88 with the 425 but it wasn’t. Not even close.
That old 425 Rocket V-8 was a hot engine.

My folks bought a 64 Olds 98, but it was late being delivered, so the dealer loaned us a 64 Starfire for a road trip. I felt too cool for words.
