They work for a corporation/company whose duty and charter is to MAKE MONEY. Cruel as it is, that’s the goal of a corporation, making money for the stockholders and owners. I worked for a corporation for 35 years ... there is no freedom of speech in a corporation. And if you don’t spout the company line, you find yourself in the parking lot looking for the company car that “poof” disappeared. (I watched many such confused ex-employees from the 4th story windows over the years). These NFL players are paid MILLIONS by the corporation, because people will pay millions to see them play. And if the people no longer care if they play or not, then they are costing the corporation MILLIONS of dollars ... FIRE THEM, Black, White or Purple! You don’t have any 1st amendment rights when you are in BUSINESS!

Although I think throwing problem employees out a window could be effective it probably didn't help morale.
