I don't know your source for that, but none of the photos I've found show any Stealer player on the field to stand for the anthem, other than Villnueva. That includes the photo showing Villanueva standing alone outside the ramp onto the field AND an overhead shot of the entire field (with the large flag in the center) a Bears' bench area full of their players and staff AND the Steelers' bench area entirely empty of players.
It was just something I’d read in another thread. Too bad if Rothlesberger didn’t join Villaneuva. I wonder if the stealers would pull this stunt at home? It looks like the Bears didn’t dare. As liberal as Chicago is, the ticket-buying fans don’t tend to fall in that category.
I have very conservative die-hard stealers fan friends, and wonder how they are handling this? Personally, I gave up on watching or caring about professional football years ago and haven’t missed it at all (tho DID watch and enjoyed last year’s SB).
