Yes it is a psychological ploy to have you perform a new act which precludes the traditional one, eventually changing the culture and history. This has been done with holidays, the “hug” greeting instead of the handshake, renaming, language, statues, etc. I agree that locking arms is at least as bad as the kneeling, it is the Nazi salute all over again and is creepily cultish.

My biggest complaint in the past about sports figures in general is that they interview like politicians. They talk but don't say anything other than canned script: "the other team put up a good fight... we gave 110%... blah... blah... blah"

This new chorus line nonsense is the same thing. It means absolutely nothing.

The way out which they are miserably failing to find is to release a statement that says:

1) Kapernick was wrong.
2) The NFL was wrong to allow him to F up the game.
3) Distractions of a political nature will not be tolerated going forward.

They can't logically make the case that all these muscle-bound unicorns are united and yet honor their prior claims that Kapernick was brave for being independent and breaking well-establish NFL rules as well as cultural norms.

He clearly stated he was protesting the flag and America because racism. It's not possible to jive that with the current phony we-love-America and unity BS.

Rodgers is a master when it comes to reading defenses. He sucks at reading a cultural offense - the long O type.

I went to ESPN.com and no outward headlines of the NFL Protests mentioned on their Home Page nor in the NFL Home Page. Of course I cut Spectrum Cable/TV/Phone this week specifically citing ESPNs political coverage - and my desire that they need to stick to SPORTS.
