Video at Link. Full title: Long mysterious object spotted flying in front of beautiful Harvest Moon
Possible, though if the moon was just above the horizon then the jet/contrail could conceivably be very, very far away.
now, now, don’t be harsh . . . LOL
Looks like contrails from a jet to me.
Disagree. If the film was taking when the moon was relatively low and he zoomed in then he picked up a jet on the horizon. Heck you can see the vapor trail wiggle from video distortion. Plus if it was in interspace it would be illuminated better because the sun would likely be hitting hit.
space station’s been flying kites again
Like sending up a flare.
Hope it’s not Calypso Louie’s Mothership....
Somebody send up an F-104 Starfighter to check it out.....
Oh sheeeet, there goes the planet.
Hillary on her broom?
Darn kids!
Aye, laddie!
Not a comet. They are millions of miles from earth, have extremely long tails, and couldn’t pass in front of the moon.
Let’s try
* A flock of birds
* A flock of insects
* A flock of bats
My cat when I stepped on its’ tail!
I’ve seen such a pattern high over grape fields in Napa Sonoma and it was spooky at first but turned out to be a HUGE “flock” of starlings (birds) flying super high in the sky, in such a “wormy” type pattern, they would then spin into a tornado shape and come down to attack (eat) grapes.
Agreed...these birds are all over the place in East Tennessee right now...they swarm like that in the evening.
No, it was Laz!
The comments over at YouTube are insane...someone said it looks ‘alive’...that’s because it is a flock of birds. Gads.
If you could see the raw video, you would see that the moon is moving across the field of view and the ‘object’ is stationary.
Someone subsequently zoomed and panned the video to make it appear that the moon was stationary and the object was moving.
It’s a small hair or piece of lint on the image sensor. Most likely shot with a digital SLR where the sensor is exposed when you change lenses.
I’m ready!
