The Los Angeles Rams are arguably the most surprising story of the first quarter of the NFL's season, jumping out to a 3-1 record and looking like an entirely different franchise from the lethargic team we saw in 2016.
On Sunday, they went on the road and beat the Cowboys in Dallas, serving notice for their candidacy to surprise in the NFC this season.
Now they just need the fans of Los Angeles to show up to the games. Running back Todd Gurley, who is a viable MVP candidate through the first four weeks of the season, appeared on the "Rich Eisen Show" and literally begged the people of Los Angeles who are Rams fans to attend this weekend when they play the Seahawks.
"Please come to our games! Please come to our games!," Gurley said...

I agree with your assessment. That is about how long it has been since I switched them OFF due to being tired of watching the antics of the thugs and not real football anymore.
Give my grandkids some heroes like I had growing up. That is my wish.
Way too many are thugs who ought to be in jail, instead of being obscenely overpaid to play a game, and then on top of that, spitting on the nation which made it possible for them to be obscenely overpaid to play a game.

Here in Cleveland I have not spent a dime on the NFL since they stole our team away in the late 90’s. Screw them....and Roger Go to Hell Goodell the stooge who is running the show..
The Rams failed once in LA. The Raiders failed once in LA.
As far as I can tell from up here in the White Mountains, the demand to go back to LA was from NFL owners looking to boost their TV revenue even higher. I never saw a business case for why one team, never mind two, would be popular or successful in that market.
The accidental billionaires who have ruined their product are now getting what they deserve. May it come swiftly.
Todd Gurley was a stand-out for the UGA Bulldogs. He always presented himself as a well mannered young man. He’s got unbelievable talent. I have absolutely no idea if he stood or knelt. I would like to think he stood.

It's quite stunning how out of touch these guys are, and to think we trusted their judgement at one time.
Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it. The mixed history of NFL teams in Los Angeles is well documented. Add to that the infrastructure woes of SoCal, and the end result will be the same as with the Raiders, early Rams, etc.
Fans will make the trek to the Coliseum for USC games, there's a lot more loyalty there and alumni support.
But the Rams... when did they leave LA to play at Anaheim Stadium? And thence to St Louis? It has been so long that most old Ram fans are in their seventies and have long since moved on. And a new generation is simply shrugging, or those that are paying attention are PO'ed at the league.
It being a CBS story, they won’t even acknowledge why the fans are staying away.
Rarely is such wit displayed at 3am.
The NFL has hired a good PR firm... it's the right approach but it's not going to work...
Certainly there are exceptions but in the main I am correct.
