you're basically taking away a constitutional right to freedom of speech.
Wrong Mr. McCoy. Your employer can tell you what to say and do at the workplace.
What about the uproar when franchises start to fold or cut salaries by 50-90% because people stop watching and attending the games?
Will IT be an uproar if NOBODY hears IT??
Since he feels so strongly about hating this country, he should quit playing ball, give up his citizenship in the US and move to a “better” country where he is not oppressed.
Join the rest of us dude your in the work place...Heck I can be fired for what I say off the job jackass
You sit - we walk.
Part of me hopes that these players continue to protest so that the American public can let the sun set on the NFL and the fat lady sing. Lets resurrect the USFL.?.?
Dear GeraldcCoy,
You are paid to play football, and like any other American job, you protest on the job, your paycheck gets lobbed, and you get fired.
Because of you, I am nppot giving my time, money and attention to yall ever again.
If the players refuse to cooperate with the league, this gets very messy indeed. Then the league (and the teams) must enact punishment - no punishment, no policy. If the league and teams fail to sanction players in violation, the fans continue to write them off and they stay away. And if they do punish the players, the s**t on the inside of the NFL really hits the fan.
The league and the teams let this get out of hand when they could have axed it in the bud with Kaepernick, the moment he started his movement. Now they are going to pay the price, one way or the other. Franchise values start dropping and the uber-rich owners are going to feel pain they aren’t used to feeling.
I can’t decide which topic I’m more sick of hearing about.
The NFL or Hillary Clinton’s blame tour.
The horror! Athletes forced to stand! Or, almost as bad, entertainers not permitted to actively insult their audience at will! That's bringing back slavery, Jim Crow, and the plantation (or so I'm told)!
Why are these guys so dumb. The government is not asking them to stand it’s the team owners and the league. Not a constitutional issue.
Let’s hear them roar.....I mean whine.
He obviously skipped the courses on Persuasion...
To Hell with the NFL!
Even if these racist anti-American bastards stand in order to preserve their jobs, we now know where their hearts and minds are. Eff ‘em. I have better things to do than sit in front of the TV and watch them.
I WAS a Bucs fan but now ... not so much on any NFL. Still one FACT does demonstrate a lot, almost every NFL player came up through the JV NFL, also known as NCAA College and thus most of them have had 2+ years of college academics.
When most of them speak on camera, you have to wonder how many actually got an education versus credit for chair-warming. I KNOW that some DO HAVE strong academics and they are the shining successes, but ... the others ...?!?!
Amendment I
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
Hes actually very bright but not on this. Dumb!!
