I’m in favor of the boycott, but it seems to have stabilized for now. Everyone who is going to get angry has gotten angry, the rest will put up with whatever the players do.
So, the NFL is wounded, but not too badly so far.
How has it stabilized? The TV audience for 2016 was down 8% from 2015, and it's down another 8% YTD this year comapard to 2016. So, that's down about 15% comparing now to 2015 when Kaepernick started this nonsense and the league did nothing to stop it.
And the trend has not stopped and no action is being taken to stop it. What they've done so far will only make it worse.
I’m an original PSL holder for the Texans. I’ve been to one game this year, the first one, and not on my personal tickets (but did use my company tickets). I’ve sold every game this season, and just ensured I didn’t lose any money. I will not be attending any more games, and with the Astros kicking butt, am not hard pressed to watch any of the games, either.
