Mexico has a Caste System. There are the Caucasian (Spaniard Ancestry) and the “Brown” lower Classes of mixed Indian Ancestry.
My M-I-L grew up in Mexico City to a fairly well to do Family. They were no different than the Europeans of the day living in a Cosmopolitan City.
Their Servants, whom they loved dearly were all uneducated lower Caste. It’s just the way it was.
Japanese also consider Yu a foreigner despite having lived there his entire life. I doubt he is too concerned with this latest gesture.
