Walking is the best. I walk at least 6+ miles every night and more on the weekends when I’m out and about on my booze walks and listening to my podcasts. It’s extremely relaxing and even good exercise I suppose. I figure I cruise at least 2,200 miles a year and I’ve been doing that for more than 10 years. That’s a lot of miles when you add it all up. The first time I thought about how far I might have strolled was just a month or two ago, and seeing that number was pretty gratifying and extremely surprising.
Walking is the best. Amen!
Kind of an irony that a conversation about walking takes hold on a thread about Boeing 787 Dreamliners and their long haul potential. LOL.
Many people from the far east find their way to the Pacific Crest Trail, and even more can be found on the John Muir Trail.
Great job on your well established walking routine. Puts you in the upper percentile of the world’s population. Walking ALWAYS transforms one’s thoughts from what is rattling around inside our heads before we start, to something else guaranteed to change our attitude for the better.
