My idiot cardiologist said if he was king, he’d put beta blockers in the drinking water. So he prescribed metoprolol.

I have low blood pressure and many drugs have side effects which lower BP, a bonus for most. In my case the metoprolol got my BP so low I could hardly stand up and keep conscious. I stopped it immediately. Doctors seem to treat patients like black boxes all of which are identical.

Been trying to get my Bp meds adjusted. Feel like a damn lab rat. Stuff works but screws up the rest of my life.

I also suffered from migraines. My doctor gave a prescription for Midrin. The drug stopped the pain in about 15 minutes. My side effect was a Bonner from hell. Let's just say that I'm not living up to my impressive potential. You know those commercials that say that if the erection last more than 4 hours seek medical attention, hell I was crying like a little girl after an hour. Had to go to the er. The company that made that drug paid my er bill.

Doctors are idiots, because they deny the existence of anything they cannot explain away: and they *must* explain away because their addled gaze is immutably fixed on the center of the bell curve, come Hell or high water.

And they are stubborn -- "Why, I'm a *doctor* -- and not only could _you_, a lowly layman, probably not even pass the entrance exams to Medical School, but you're also ill as well."
