I went to a couple of Freeper meetings ... I was at the first one. But we did not stay in touch. Don’t know how to organize without knowing anyone.

Sometimes at Thanksgiving, on our local news shows, they do segments about food banks, churches, and other places who prepare big Thanksgiving events for the elderly and others who may be alone and have nobody to share the holiday with. I’ve always thought that if I were alone, it would be a lot of fun to do that - either as a guest, or as a volunteer.

You never know who you’ll meet, or where just doing something very different might lead.

Start out by posting on your state page. Then people can add others. It grows like a chain reaction, like when you are planning a reunion.

I did a reunion for my entire high school in 2006. No one thought it could be done. It started out with a small list but eventually grew like Topsy and we were sold out.
