Only $60? Dang!
My first car was pretty mundane, but it served well in college. It was a used Ford Tempo, and that was a solid car...right up until an uninsured driver slammed into it.
$60 for a HS senior in 1962 was a bit of change.(At least for this senior). But, I got terms...$15 a month. It was basic transportation and I only had it for about six months until I transitioned into a ‘57 Pontiac Star Chief convertible.
Now talk about a chick magnet.
