A ‘long battle with dementia’ at age 64?
Very early onset. But it does happen that way sometimes.
Anytime after the age of 50, some family genetics are living with full awareness on borrowed time.
Sometimes one’s activities can make that happen more quickly.
Heavy use of recreational drugs, for instance.

Trivia: Name two rock and roll tunes that use bagpipes.
RIP Malcolm

Never a fan of AC/DC. Only thing of interest to me was the elder Young being a founding member of the Easybeats.
Still, sorry to see one pass at such a young age, especially after suffering dementia ahead of that.
I had a neighbor many years ago, probably not much more than 40 if that, who got it. It was spooky how fast it came on and the short period of time he lived once it started. I found out one day when he was creeping around his car very strangely and his hair had gone completely white in what seemed like a matter of weeks.

Saw a interview with Malcolm from back (I think) in the 1990s. He was a heavy drinker/party hound. He said at one party his sister-in-law recorded him on VHS. After he saw the tape he quit drinking.

They're playing AC/DC all over the dial today. I heard Thunderstruck, which is one of my favorite songs of all time.
It's been decades since I played music as loud as I played that song today.
RIP Malcom. RIP our youth as well.

Grew up with ac/dc in my 8-track player, then my cassette player and so on and so forth..
I miss real music..
The crap today, I can’t tell if it’s rap, pop or country.. it’s all starting to sound the same.

RIP, Malcolm. Youre a rock n roll great.
Enjoyed each of the half-dozen or so AC/DC shows attended.
