The outspoken father of LiAngelo Ball, one of three UCLA basketball players arrested in China accused of shoplifting earlier this month, questioned what Trump did to free the trio when he appeared on CNN Tonight on Monday.
In an interview that quickly derailed despite the best efforts of host Chris Cuomo, Ball once again declined to thank Trump.
'What did he [Trump] do for my son?' Ball asked Cuomo. 'I don't have to go around thanking everybody. I don't have to go around thanking everybody.'

I agree. This was not a good precedent to set.
But it does show how entitled and ungrateful these people are.

Well, let him rant...people plainly see what an @$$hole he’s being about it all.
I never thanked the doctor who delivered me, but by the time I learned to talk, we had moved away.
For thousands of years, babies were delivered by midwives. Having babies born in hospitals is a pretty recent development.
Trump can just wait. The dad and his son will soon enough commit more crimes and Donald can twit: “I told you so”.
My wife’s obstetrician was a former ME-109 pilot.
I said `Danke Shoen Herr Doktor’.
He said, “Your accent is schiess”.
That means `wonderful’.
My Dad would have suggested to the President that I be left there to face the music.
Or, barring that, would have quietly and politely thanked him, and perhaps explained what horrors were in store for me on my return to home.
Unfortunately, Trump recognized that could be a Jimmy Carter hostage incident for the left, and put it to rest. Yes, he used some big time capital in doing, but hey, the real leaders in this world respect the man.
A strong America helps China also. In fact, through commerce, countries and people might come together.
Or put the father in charge of the store where the jerks stole the glasses. See what father would do to anyone who steals from HIM.
