I have several, it’s not uncommon. Could be any of a dozen different models.

Yep, used to be standard issue for a local police department.

.45 Long Colt is the usual revolver caliber - it *could* have been a .45 ACP w/stripper clips, or it *could* have been a .455 Webley, but .45 LC is the way to bet.

Then he tried each of the sample items set up in the refrigerated goods areas, picked up some Dino-byte chicken nuggets, and a big bottle of Vitamin C, some Gillette refills, checked out, and headed home. Thanks Kaslin.

Was the policeman the “Gun Whisperer”?

He wasn't threatening "the store," he was threatening the people who were shopping at "the store."

Agreed. Reading that made me think of Don Quixote tilting at windmills.

Wait a minute. What’s wrong with the headline that you had to chuckle?

Would you prefer a .38 Auto? Of course there are 45 revolvers, both 45 ACP, Auto Rim and Long Colt.... etc. Both single action and double action versions.

Good set of eyes there:

.45 revolver in his hand

I don't know if I could tell a .45 from a .44 when the revolver wasn't close enough to hold.

No - not “period.” LEO are taught to shoot to stop the person committing a felonious act while using a firearm/weapon. If the felon gets dead as a result of being stopped, that’s just too damn bad.

Oh My Gosh! That is about 300 feet north of where I work.

I really wish I could conceal at carry at work.
