Well I just want to eliminate as much of the beauty contest aspect as possible. I like 8 teams just so you don’t have byes, unless, once again, you have specific criteria for determining the bye teams, like the NFL. Also, you have to find some way to get a mid-major team in, you can’t keep shutting out the Boise State’s or the Central Florida’s forever, or they’ll just leave. Maybe they should and create their own division and run their own playoff system. Also ban scheduling FCS teams, unless you schedule North Dakota State (sarc.). They should be a mid-major team anyway, but they are geographically challenged.
Actually that makes my case for moving the non Power Five’s to the FCS, it would beef it up, and I think more people would be interested in it, rather than just folks who live in the Dakotas.
