In Oklahoma, if a car hits a cow, the farmer/rancher is liable for the damage caused by his not attending to an open fence, or filled in cattle guard... Did they have to repaint the train?

In Vermont, moose challenge the New York to Montreal train. They NEVER win...

Some US states (not sure which, but they are all in the west) have free range laws. It is the exact opposite of what you describe. If you hit a cow with your car, it is your fault and you owe damages to the rancher.
