LaVar Ball told ESPN that his sons LiAngelo and LaMelo Ball have signed with agent Harrison Gaines, ending any speculation that LaMelo will play college basketball. The plan is now for both to play on the same team overseas.

"I don't care about the money," LaVar Ball said on Thursday morning. "I want them to go somewhere where they will play them together on the court at the same time. The priority is for the boys to play on the same team."

I would be surprised if China even let any of them back into that country.

I don’t see China having a sense of humor about any member of that clan.

They should play in a Muslim country. You know what they do to thieves there.

I actually think this will be good for his kids.

Presumably get them farther away from him, give them a little financial freedom from him, and take another viable route to the NBA, if indeed they make it that far.

My prayers go out for all of them, especially the mother.

Dictatorships create close knit families, but out of fear of disobeying rather than Love.

Many athletic superstars have been motivated by trying to earn their father’s love.

Euro basketball is much more regimented than here. More team oriented and less about the stars. They practice a lot on fundamentals, etc. Ball’s act isn’t going to fly over there. The young kid is talented and can find a spot in a place like the 2nd division in Spain. But he’ll have to work his butt off and daddy will have mind his own business. Good luck with that.

I think the kid will end up with a Greek or Polish club, and find it pretty rough going over the first season. Most of the players are NCAA-quality already.

And a Greek or Polish team won't give a damn if he cries "racism!" and will not tolerate bad behavior. He will learn that, quickly.

Since that type likes some punctuation in their given names, perhaps the dad should change his name to S’Crew Ball.
