I agree, this thread is very calming. As is the gardening thread. It is nice to have a place to go to come in from the battlefield :-)

I’m not sure what was meant by ‘mystery topic’ either, except that we try to start with a theme or featured recipe.

It is always fun having that element of surprise wondering “what is Jamestown going to be up to this week?!!!”... In most instances I learn something new reading each thread. I enjoy cooking and also like trying new recipes. I’ve printed out quite a bit from this thread!

Hope you had a great Hanukah. We are havin matzo ball soup at our Christmas meal to celebrate our Jewish ancestors. (I know it should be latkes, but I love matzo ball soup with schmaltz and gribenes!)
