Yes the movie had to throw in a completely unnecessary plot line to incorporate the black guy, a chubby Asian and a bunch of Oliver Twist looking multiracial kids. It was laughable it was so planned. G*d forbid only white people are the main characters. Disney will make money on this turd , but they did the series a disservice.
Hollywood hates Asians even more than it hates blacks. Sure, we see fat Asians everywhere. As well, by making every black fellow or girl the redoubtable paragon of all things virtuous, we know that Hollywood needs to do that as a shade over what they really think
The whole Star Wars universe moved into the Cantina Bar a long time ago. The Force = Diversity and you will be made to care.
