or turn on the response lighting, if the PA doesn’t wake you up, the flashing blue and red lights illuminating your windows should.
If I saw flashing lights outside I would:
1) Assume they are there for a neighbor
2) Peek our the window without any sort of weapon in my hands
The flashing lights definitely tell you who is outside. Police should have had them on.
Now I’m wondering if just peeking out furtively, which I’ve been known to do when there are flashing lights outside, is enough to get you shot-even with no weapon on you.
