Media are predisposed to take the side of confusion and chaos. They are naturally against truth coming to predominate socially and inform public or quasi-public institutions. Like old-fashioned scions of secular "enlightenment" they rally around mere diversity of opinion per se as if the fall of Adam were some kind of triumph. If there are any hard-and-fast truths out there they desire that not all people should come to embrace them, because a certain sort of social unity would begin to congeal around those truths, and in the tea leaves of unanimity they read tyranny as befits their narrowed view of the possibilities when someone mistakes their own unchaining of raw personal will to be an unchangeable fact of life for everyone.
