Tom Brady? Pretty high football IQ...,

Indeed. But players with it, are too few and far between these days.

Don’t fear the traffic.. They are kicking the locals off the light rail for ticket holders only..

Ya, that has not gone over to well with the great unwashed in Minneapolis.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dat_Nguyen

His parents are shrimpers in Rockport Texas, and they opened a restaurant called “Who Dat” (mighty fine fresh seafood). Probably down now after Harvey but will be rebuilt.

More Dolphins fans in Jax than Jaguar fans.

Not today!

In fact, all the Johnnie-come-lately Jags fans is kinda a running joke here in Jacksonville.

Suddenly, we've all been fans for years! "I been bleedin' teal and black since the days of free hotdogs at EverBank!"

Several calls of the final play.

Local radio play by play guy Paul Allen is down in the dumps.

And then he loses his mind...

Ah yes, Dat Nguyen, one of my favorite players for the Cowboys when he was here, and a former A&M great.

If you could care less about pro sports then why are you reading and responding in a pro sports thread?

FReepers love virtue signaling. It's the same on movie threads. "Why is there a thread about movies on Free Republic? Hollywood is a cesspool of liberalism! I haven't been to the cinema since 1965! I stay at home and watch Gunsmoke reruns on the old B&W and so should you!"

"Oh I agree that Willams should have let Diggs catch the ball and then tackle him and the game would have been over but I can understand Willams possible fear on a pass interference cal because the Saints were called all game on some major pass interference calls against them."

I really didn't care who won, except that my oldest daughter (for reasons that aren't clear to me) is a big Saints fan. I missed the first quarter, but was told by some people at the local bar that the pass interference calls were pretty questionable.

"And let’s not forget that give-up running play on third down to force the Saints to kick the FG with plenty of time left on the clock. They get a first down, and it’s “game over”."

I don't think it was a "give-up" play. They ran the ball hoping to get a first-down, but if they didn't, Minnesota had to use its last time out. Also, a pass play would risk a sack or an interception.

I knew after that play that Minnesota would win even if the Saints made that FG.

WR Adam Thielen broke off one of his post game interviews because the “Prayer Huddle” was forming.

Only place where Vikings kneel.

It looked like he originally wanted to make a big sports center hit on the receiver causing an incompletion. He realized too late he had mistimed the hit. If he had had the situational awareness to let the receiver catch the ball and then simply wrap him up in an old fashioned tackle.....well he didn’t.
