I agree. Unfortunately, not everyone has loving parents, or parents who don’t have serious unresolved issues themselves. My best to you and your husband.
What you say is true.
But God enters into things; He has a plan for each of us, and a plan for the ones who didn’t get an initial, earthly ‘shove’. I believe that His inspiration is in every human being; and it’s all in the plan - even this so-called ‘Pope’ is in the larger plan.
Someday, we’ll understand how it all fell out.
