“The banana cannot reproduce itself. It can be propagated only by the hand of man.”

I know all about bananas and reproduction, learned that in school. But I thought playing with your banana with your hand would make you go blind!

In ancient Greece, tossing an apple to a girl was a traditional proposal of marriage. Catching it meant she accepted.

Marriages were arranged between fathers and prospective husbands.

“Zero is the only number that cannot be represented by Roman numerals.”

I don’t recall “e”, Pi, or “i” in Roman numerals.

What if she was clumsy?

Intelligent people have more zinc and copper in their hair.
Does this mean redheads are smarter then blondes?

The letter J does not appear anywhere on the periodic table of the elements.
That is because it has not been discovered yet.

By definition, rust is iron oxide. Gold may be the only metal that does not tarnish, but it is not the only metal that does not rust.

Warner Communications paid $28 million for the copyright to the song Happy Birthday.

They lost that copyright as a result of a lawsuit. Since 2016, that song is in the public domain.

When a person dies, hearing is the last sense to go. The first sense lost is sight.

How do they know? Are people reporting back after they die?

Warner Communications paid $28 million for the copyright to the song Happy Birthday.

If you can believe Wikipedia, "In 1988, Warner/Chappell Music purchased the company owning the copyright for US$25 million, with the value of 'Happy Birthday' estimated at US$5 million." But "In 2016, Warner/Chappell settled for US $14 million, and the court declared that 'Happy Birthday to You' was in the public domain."

So, "Happy Birthday To You, Happy Birthday To You!"

I guess that Seinfeld producers likely had to pay to sing "Happy Birthday" to Walter on his special day (the other Walter, from Returns).

Gold may be resistant to rust, but so are platinum, chromium, and palladium.

Rust is oxidation, similar to a slow burn. Gold does oxidize. It also tarnishes and corrodes.

Gold is resistant to these things, but they still happen.

The Bible comments on this in

James 5:3
Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have heaped up treasure in the last days.
