Remember Milk bottles with cream seperaters?

Remember the phrase “the cream rises to the top”?

When did we start eating sugar frosted flakes doused in 1% milk?

Yes, I remember those milk jugs shaped like wine decanters. I would skim the cream off to make butter. There would be a little cream left on the top, and we would shake it before pouring.

I never was one to eat cereal - I am never hungry till I’ve been up for 2 hrs. When I was a kid, we started school at 9 AM and I lived across the street. So I’d just get up and sling on some clothes and dash across the street.

We ate lunch at 11 AM, so it worked out. When I stayed with my granny she always had home made biscuits, oatmeal, and bacon. I would eat bacon on a biscuit and drink whole raw milk.
