“Stand up for American production, Mr. President.”
Name one president in your lifetime who has stood up for American production more than Trump. What do you expect him to do that he’s not already doing?
Don’t get me wrong.
I was one of Trump’s original supporters here on FR.
All I am saying, is China just set ANOTHER all-time trade surplus record, vs America.
I expect him to correct that.
However he wants to. I don’t really care how, but this is a critical issue to me, and to a lot of his voters, he needs to do something. We have been giving away the store to the Chinese (and the Chinese military) for over the entire last generation.
Trump was the first politician to really raise the issue. He won on this issue. But has done nothing yet.
That is what I want him to do.
More tariffs. That is what he could be doing. We are in trade war now and we need to fight back!
