I wasn’t going to go unless I was chosen as flag bearer, but since I lost the coin toss, I’m now boycotting the opening ceremonies and #BlackHistory2018...
(I wonder if the declaration that he wasn’t going to attend might have affected some voting that resulted in the tie in the first place...?)

As a white male, I knew no white male would even be in the possible category - such as every Disney movie has a female hero now...so it was someone black vs a female...if there were a black female who wanted to carry it, she would likely have been given it without a coin toss.

I’ll preface this with noting that I really could care less about the Olympics and will not read or watch a second of it. That said, the headline about boycott should mean that that athlete is suspended from the team and sent home. Zero tolerance for dissing the U.S.
