I’m a big believer in tipping well. These folks make around $2.35 an hour. That’s a lot of work packing up that many meals. I feel her pain. That was incredibly tacky not to tip on a $700 bill.
I don’t agree. I tip well for table service, but I never tip for takeout. I have never heard of tipping for takeout, and I worked in a restaurant kitchen.
How is one supposed to know the restaurant uses waitresses to pack take-out orders? Don’t they have someone available who works the take-out counter exclusively?
Florida minimum is $8.25
700 bucks is a lot of work...
But the profit on that is good also....thats about minimum 25 diners....so no serving...no water...coffee.etc...if the waitress had delivered it...certainly a big tip...but if you pick it up...nah...outback should have policy that for large parties...i.e > 7....gratuity is automatically charged..and given to server...for large orders...those who prepare that volume so fast should get extra pay
..
Waitress howver should complain to her bosses first...if no response...find other job...then complain on social media.. Ya gotta cya..
You are battling windmills my friend
This is scold central
Prolly tip like old black govt worker women around here
I tip very well especially women servers
And take out when someone prepares it in bags and boxes like at outback or PF Chang or Magiannos or Buca etc
And on 700 bill with 25 orders I’d have left prolly 70 bucks for takeout at least.....
200 on a sit down if they were attentive
