He was once as dominant as any pitcher in the league.
And I hope one of those teams is the Giants.
this represents the triumph of emotion over reality. that boy is done. been done. way done.
You know what the say: The radar gun doen’t lie.
I’m hoping he finds peace in his new endeavors, whatever they may be.
Yaaaay,baseball talk.
.
Pitchers and Catcher report this weekend.
Let the games begin.
And with every new season, hope comes alive.
It’s the meter by which many of us measure time.
those are big if’s.
“And with every new season, hope comes alive.”

Indeed it does-——Go Sox!!!:-)
.
Merica loves a good comeback story. I hope he makes it back
Baseball? Let’s get ready. About time.
Tim ruled the majors for a few years and then gave a gallant effort for the Angels. It was brutal watching the boss try to throw in the big leagues with the Angels. Jeff Passan is usually correct and I hope Tim gets another shot. Nine outs in a big league game is enough to test him.
probably not relevant. the next hit the radar gun gets will be it’s first.
Its the meter by which many of us measure time.
hardly. his era was over NINE the last time he attempted to get major league hitters out.
NINE. here’s the other decisive integer; 34. that’s how old he will be before the break.
pass.
I have no idea what the future holds for him and neither do you. And like someone else said, radar guns don’t lie. And unlike people, they’re 100% independent and unbiased.
the threadbare radar gun crack is useless word salad. meaningless. a mindless baseball cliche.
let me tell you what the future holds, best case scenario; he winds up in camp someplace, perhaps even breaks camp with a big league team. he gets shelled. home by may, june for sure. take it to the bank.
you really have to be man-crushed to think tbis guy that hasn’t been able to pitch effectively in the big leagues for three years will suddenly get his act together with the passage of time and the addition of age.
He’s inexpensive and low risk and he has a history of MLB success. He’s worth a gamble for the back of a rotation.
Pitchers adn catchers already reported. Most Tuesday and Wednesday. Everyone else is reporting soon.
And games begin a week from today (Friday.) The first MLB exhibition games are on 2/23.
162 man-proving games, with the survivors getting a trophy and a parade at the end.
A pitcher’s arm, like a car tire, only has a certain amount of miles in it. If Lincecum wins, respect to him.
If his fastball is indeed in the 90s and is developing other stuff as well, I’d like to see him back in a Giants uniform in a short relief role, possibly.
