Where I lived in San Diego, while obviously not as big as a HS Graduation ceremony, my kids had elementary (6th grade) and Jr. High graduation celebrations. I don’t think robes were work, and I can’t quite tell if young Hogg is wearing one in this picture.
He’s scrawny, true; but odds are he’d have gained height and filled out noticeably between 6th grade and high school graduation.
