Are you able to make any phone calls to or from the phone? Yes, both voice and text work
Can you connect to a wireless network and access the Internet? Yes on Connecting, No on .net due to no Browser. Cant get it to DL anything.
Can you access the Internet from the phone via your cellular link?Same as above.

Do you not have a data plan with your phone? Or is it that you simply don’t have network access via cell in your area you are in?
So...you can connect to your wireless network, but cannot reach the Internet to go to, say, http://www.freerepublic.com ?
or he changed the sim and it auto-locked him out, my phone would do that
With Apple involved, why would anyone ever DO that?
Call them to explain the problem, if the phone is previously owned it may have a previous Apple ID.

I wish the link had been more helpful! I was in your situation once with my iPad once, but I don’t remember what I did to fix it. I think I did a reset in the settings menu. It’s frustrating.
One of things I would do is try to login to the account from a desktop computer if one is available just to be sure it isn’t some kind of iPhone iCloud configuration issue.
If you CAN login at at desktop, you have some weird configuration issue on that iPhone.
If you cannot, and you don’t have double-authentication enabled, then you are at the mercy of trying to get help. No matter who you are, or what company you call, that isn’t fun these days. Just try calling a vendor like Microsoft for any issue.
Mabarker1’s issue sound like an access to help issue more than a technical issue that is difficult to solve.
I can see that too but then you wouldn’t have any phone service either, not just the app store.
Family Mobile is on Facebook. Says very responsive to messages. I’ve had Net10 for years (also TracFone) and I have done virtually all contact with them via Facebook. Have always had good results using this way.
Just had to hook it the the ITunes to unlock it and reimage it.
I’ve tried all the suggestions Posted.
Ended up at the Apple Store, they had to go in a Backdoor and Reset the Phone.
Working fine now.
