The kid has ADHD. What better way to rid the child of all that excess energy he has. There was a time when boys could be boys and recess was a blast. We had a lot less ADHD kids back then.

Good idea to punish the kid.
Bad idea to put it online.
Next visit CPS.

That is b/c the standard diagnosis for the ailment of being a boy is ADHD.
If today’s standards had been in place when I was 10 I would be so drugged up I would still be in my childhood home (and mom an dad are long-passed).

Do you help your kid clean his room ?
You're part of the problem.

Have a feeling the dad has first hand experience of this running punishment.
To: BBell
Dad should be charged with abuse. I understand the need for discipline but this is really bad—optics and reality. He is further reinforcing the bully—Dad in this case. Kid will emulate. Very sad current and future for this 10 year old. 10!

why should dad have to run? He was not the problem.
My wife considered her driving our three kids to school a privilege for them. When they abused that privilege with their mouths or behavior, out they went. A nice 1 mile walk to school did wonders for their attitude and all three are now wonderful, quality, young adults.
And no, she didn’t walk with them.

No kidding. How many self entitled snow flakes did you unwisely raise AP? Any of them now with BLM or ANTIFA?

There was a caller on a local talk radio show a few years ago who described a life-changing incident when he was about 12 years old. He was a troublemaker as a kid, and he was picked up by a police officer over some kind of incident involving vandalism or petty theft.
The cop brought him home, and the father had the kid mow the cop's lawn and rake leaves every Saturday through the entire summer and fall. That was the last time the kid every caused any trouble. LOL.

No, I didn’t. I have twin 10 year olds. I was abused by my dad. What this is is abuse. He should be in jail, counseling or something.

Bad idea to put it online. Dad appears to be a cyber bully. Not real good.

You have friggin got to be kidding me. Dad didn’t raise a hand to him. He punished him. It is like when I was a kid and screwed up my mother made me transcribe pages out of our dictionary. I ended up with a wondrous vocabulary, am able to write faster than most people can type and learned discipline.
The kid got a workout and odds are he will not be acting the bully again soon.
To: Reno89519
No, I didnt. I have twin 10 year olds. I was abused by my dad. What this is is abuse. What this is, is adequate punishment.
He should be in jail, counseling or something.
He should be on the cover of Parenting Magazine and get a personal reception at the Trump White House.
