He made a pass, she objected, he likely apologized and that should have been the end of the story.
Right. She could have said to him:
“I’m not interested in you in that way.”
“I’m sorry if you have misconstrued something about the nature of our friendship.”
“Don’t ever do that again.”
If he persisted after that, she would have a definite reason to tell someone, and the guy could rightly be held to account.
But who goes to the cops over something like that right off the bat?
I can’t imagine that would have entered my mind.
