These perimeters (at this house and the florida school) seem to be as open as our border.

Reynolds eventually returned back to the home at the center of the standoff, which Plasse describes as puzzling. But the police chief says hes very thankful he returned.Reynolds was later shot and killed by state police SWAT officers.
He was thankful because it gave the SWAT team target practice? You just can't make this stuff up folks. How did he get past the police? Apparently he did it twice, going & coming?

He could be sitting on a beach in Panama already, and cops would still be surrounding the house....

“Reynolds was later shot and killed by state police SWAT officers.”
That’s always a better option than going to Walmart.

The guy “broke through” the so-called police barrier to go to shopping at Walmart, then “broke through” to get back into the house......what, did he get hungry, and discovered that there was no food in the house? Did he hear of a really good sale? Maybe, he ran out of ammunition and went to get some more?
Instead of breaking through the police barrier, why didn’t he just call a time out?

A. Why did he return to the house after his shop stop?
B. Did the police have a photo of the suspect?
Maybe most the officers didn’t really know what he looked like.

I don’t know what qualifies as dumber. That the police had a perimeter around the house, but the suspect snuck thru, or that the suspect was dumb enough to come back to the house after his shopping trip to Walmart. It sounds like he was able to sneak back thru the police primer again to get back in the house. I think I have to give the dummer award to the police, although it is a touch call.

Are there any competent police left?!
