I'm also seeing the possibility that Sessions was illegally unmasked.
Gowdy addressed Sessions meetings several times and had no problem but did feel that his recusal was in line.

Comey appeared before Congress on March 20, 2017 where he first disclosed publicly that there was an ongoing investigation of the Trump Campaign for colluding with the Russians. The investigation had begun in July 2016. Three times Comey told Trump that he was not the subject of the investigation.
If all of this is true, then we have the FBI investigating the sitting AG for possible treason. Who within DOJ and the FBI knew about this investigation? Sally Yates was fired on January 31, 2017. Payback?

The strategy had been set within twenty-four hours of her concession speech. Mook and Podesta assembled her communications team at the Brooklyn headquarters to engineer the case that the election wasn't entirely on the up-and-up. For a couple of hours, with Shake Shack containers littering the room, they went over the script they would pitch to the press and the public. Already, Russian hacking was the centerpiece of the argument.
The lie was that of Clinton and the DNC, who knew perfectly well that the Russians hadn't hacked the DNC servers, and who were attempting to link Comey with Russia in the overall narrative to explain why he'd reopened the investigation into her illegal State Department email servers. That has since failed and apparently dropped into the media memory hole. Comey's actions are now explained by the fact that the "missing" emails in the latter investigation had apparently turned up on Tony Wiener's laptop, that the FBI hadn't examined and didn't really have a reason to otherwise. That story has been assiduously buried at least twice as well but keeps cropping up like a zombie out of a fresh grave, because it was that investigation that could have landed her in prison and still might.
