First Lady Melania Trump was on-trend at the White House on Thursday, wearing a chunky, oversized belt, a pencil skirt, and her favorite pair of suede stilettos. Melania Trump looked like she stepped off the runways of Milan when she greeted Stoneman Douglas High School student Kyle Kashuv at the White House in an oversized belt with a giant buckle and suede Manolo Blahnik pumps.
Oversized belts were all over the runways this season, especially at the Versace Fall/Winter 2018 show, which featured giant belts with decorative gold buckles.
Keeping her color palette neutral, Mrs. Trump wore a black turtle-neck sweater with quarter sleeves and a Ralph Lauren checkered skirt from the brand’s Fall/Winter 2017 collection.

Old Fashioned. I thought we had moved on past that.
Perhaps I should be glad that’s all they’re saying.
Maybe the libs have thus far failed to dig up anything bad to say about Melania, so they stick with old formulas.
I’m fine with the First Lady sort of staying in the background and not trying to become a big mover and shaker, the way Michelle Obama did. It’s a very demanding lifestyle, where everything you do or don’t do is openly speculated about. Face it, the First Family are effectively the American Royals.
I think Melania has lost a little weight lately (not that she needed to) She looks great! How refreshing to have her there, quietly, in the background and not on Ellen every week.
I understand that the First Lady has “duties” and “responsibilities” that go along with certain specific endeavors they want to take up the banner for, but...
I believe that their intrusion into the government arena (AKA Hillary Clinton and Michelle Obama) is offensive and uncalled for.
And I would feel the same way if the President were female with a male husband.
That said, I appreciate her understated presence in her role. I am just fine with it!

It looks to me like President Trump has lost a bit too....perhaps First Lady Melania and Adm Jackson are keeping him on track.....

I agree. No one elected them and there’s no reason for them to take up a ‘cause’ that actually changes laws, etc. ie: Hillary and health insurance or Michelle and school lunches.
I want them to stay the heck out of my business and just be a supportive wife and stick to helping things run at the White House.
I think the belt is silly, no matter who wears it.

There are people who want to see what the First Lady is wearing. I am one of those people. I love her Manolo Blahnik pumps, and I think by wearing them, she is making a statement about Michelle Obama’s ever-present dreary flats. I’d like to see you walk down the steps of AF1 in those spike heels, without pulling a Hillary.
