The NYC’s Broadway Limited was also a top class competitor of the 20th Century Limited.
I look at pics and videos of these trains and realize that I was born about 25 years too late.
How great it would have been to have travelled on these trains - even if it were just a coach seat.

The Broadway Limited was run by the New York Central’s chief competitor, the Pennsylvania Railroad. And it was also a top notch all first class express service that was highly regarded.

I rode trains cross country in the early 60s. They werent as plush as the Century but yet a memorable experience, traveling the breadth of this great land. So much is lost by flying, those who never travel long distance by rail will never know.
