Haha. I noticed that, too.
The conservative talker on my local station was recommending it. I think the main point being that Hollywood doesn’t like this movie, because it doesn’t fit with their propaganda messages, so therefore conservatives ought to go see it as a slap in the face to Hollywood.
Since I already know how it ends, I’m not planning to cough up the money.
Aha! Just now as I’m typing this, Mark Levin is promoting it. (I’m sure it’s a paid promo.)
Great ad! Too bad the Beetle is long gone...
Yes, they describe that issue in a funny way, actually. The ten advisors Joe Kennedy assembled all scream at him about it since it creates greater legal liability. Although they "fix" it, I believe that the movie had a Kennedy sycophant in a role other than the state police replace his license.
Also the diver flat out said that he could have saved her if he had been called immediately. Was that shown?
Yes in part, but it might not have been the diver who says it.
The answer to those questions will tell me whether or not to watch it.
I hope that I wasn't too critical of the movie in my review. It is a great film that every conservative should see, and I say that as someone who hadn't been in a theater in well over a year.
Movies are now the medium that our history is written in. This movie does an admirable job of setting the record straight about this sociopath.
Thanks.
The diver was named Farrar or Farrara or something like that.
He definitely told Damore that he could have saved her.
Given Hollywood's recent track record, I figured the movie would blame the death of Mary Jo Kopechne on Richard Nixon or even Donald Trump.
John Farrar.
I plan on seeing Paul this weekend
I know waaaay more than anyone should know about the slime ball Ted. Not a thing that can be learned from watching anything about this murder
I’m not sure he’s ever taken credit for any part in it, but that ad seems to have P.J. O’Rourke’s fingerprints all over it.
Thanks.
It’s got Jim Gaffigan in it so that’s cool!
Yes, but according to the Wikipedia page I linked above he later revised his estimate and more carefully qualified his statement.
He was thinking, after I straight up leave a woman to drown and die, they STILL elect me! Time after time! Fools! And then he smirks.
You were far kinder than I would have been; is “PIF” an acronym for “Presumptuously Ignorant F***tard”?
I owe you an apology. I apologize! I misunderstood you. I’m putting myself in Freeper time out. I still support this movie, though. Can’t wait to see it.
I totally misunderstood PIF’s post. I apologized. I agree with your response, though. I can’t wait to see it.
Somehow Teddy and "hotttt pockets" seems a good match.
Just got back from the movie. Interesting, they never depict the Swimmer inside the car from the moment that it enters the bridge area. Plenty of footage of him outside the car, though, around the pond and sunk/overturned car. Many views of various personages with futility pulling on the door handles. It's as if perhaps the movie writers implicitly thinking there may be truth to him not being in the car during its plunge; at least not "pouring water" on the idea.
Just saw it. Well done ...
Were there many there?
