Started me to surfing youtube... there is some good stuff out there if you look for it.

The stuff that is packaged for radio here is pretty unsatisfying and really always has been. I’ve always had to look for good music, but its out there.

Used to hear Bert Kaempfert on the radio all the time. He actually was responsible for getting the Beatles their first professional record deal.

Kaempfert's dozens of hits in the 60's include:

• "Red Roses for a Blue Lady", #11, 1965,

Oh, and there is Rush's favorite, Klaus Nomi (the gay update theme). From Wikipedia:
