Just a thought/ rough draft on categorizing posts to facilitate absorption. Feedback requested.
Cool. That’s a lot to remember, but maybe it will become habit.
Something I recently learned is that when I see a post I might reply to with some insight, click on “View Replies” under the user’s name at the bottom. Then you can see if someone has already answered it, or is maybe asking a different question you provide insight to.
If there are no replies that provide something you can, you can hit the ‘back’ button on the browser and reply to the post normally. Pretty cool.
Often, when someone asks a question, I have the same question in mind. Go to ‘view replies’ and I can see what the answers were, go back, and not lose my place. Or miss the answer in all the other replies.
Can you BELIEVE every one of these threads is hitting 2-3k responses!!??
I got here in June ‘98 (under another Nom dePlume), and I’ve NEVER seen a topic that routinely gets this kind of response.

Thanks. Being a classically trained scientist and engineer, I think systematically (its also why I’m a good Lutheran theologian).
But, the Socratic method used is collaborative and spontaneous; there are no stupid responses to Q-drops. The free association seen in these threads contributes to overall knowledge of the gathered. I say, let’s not get too rigid.
Just got word, 2nd hand, that the marines are headed for Syria. Can anyone provide any further info? Its a concern for a friend
