The NBA broke the all-time attendance record for the fourth straight year with more than 22 million fans attending games this season, the league announced Thursday.

The league also set records for average attendance (17,978) and sellouts (741).

Records were also set in merchandise sales on NBA.com, and NBA League Pass subscriptions were up 63% from last season.

Holy cow. The last two minutes of basketball is usually all that matters. Occasionally I clear my agenda for an hour and a half so I can watch the final two minutes of a game.

Sheesh...

The only final 2 minutes of basketball games I enjoy are during March madness.

It’s the unpredictability of college sports in general that makes them more interesting. (IMO)

Last time I saw a game it was the Buffalo Braves with Bob McAdoo.

I have season tickets to the OKC Thunder. You know... it’s a pretty fun time. Place is always packed and loud. Entertainment at half and during time outs. Westbrook is a wild man. The hardest playing player in the league on every play. And.... even Mrs Kjam22 likes the games.

I agree. The three point, and the dunk took a lot of the finesse out of the game, along with almost never being called for traveling, even though going to the basket these days almost always involves a travel. Now it’s either play rough inside or just go outside for any easy three. I say easy because when you practice something endlessly it become easy, or at least a lot less difficult.

The NFL and the NBA are a blight on this nation. Inner city thugs have taken over.

“perhaps the most biased refereeing in all of pro-sports at the top of the list.”

Come on, professional wrestling is worse (if only by a little bit.)

I might have played in the NBA if I would have had the ability to dunk the ball without walking from the free throw line and been able to get a fouled called every time I missed a shot.

Westbrook is a wild man. The hardest playing player in the league on every play.

I can’t argue with that. Westbrook has really matured as a Pro. But he was pretty good in college. UCLA I believe.

The NBA sucks. I’d rather go to work than watch a league of Nothing But Assholes (NBA).

The Warriors are full of liberal scum. Why should we care?

My wife and I were given free tickets to a Seattle Supersonics game a while ago

Must have been quite awhile ago. They moved to Oklahoma City in 2008.

#6: "More fake “analysis”? Does a paid-for, but empty seat count? "

Bingo. Corporations buy season tickets for their salesmen to hand out.

The NBA has been dead to me for about 25+ years. I could care less about it.

I watch some college basketball (usually just during March Madness), but that where it ends for me.

I don't follow the NBA until Gonzaga's season is over, and for the past four years, it hasn't ended earlier than the Sweet 16.

Still not following the NBA that much, as the Zags are in recruiting season.

Look at the bright side. Merchandise sales going up means minority employment

is up. It’s not money that would have gone towards NFL merchandise as

non- minority likely buy err.. bought most of that stuff. MAGA wins again.

I was tall for my age in high school. I tried out for the basketball team and didn’t make it.

I've always thought there should be 2 different leagues. One for the tall players, 6'3" and taller, the other for 6'2" and below. I'd expect the "smaller" players league to be more exciting.

Either two leagues, or...

No dunking and no shots closer than 10 feet from the basket. Trump can build a wall (no taller than 5 feet) at the 10 foot line.

I'm not holding my breath for either option, but perhaps new leagues, with the different rules?

Yep. I left Seattle in 2011 and this was while she worked at a travel agency. One of the women she worked with was the “official” travel agent of one of the players. I think it was Patrick Ewing, but I could be wrong. Yeah, it was a while ago.

My wife and I met 20 years ago. Anything that happened in that timeframe seems like it happened in just the last couple of years. It’s because we met when we were 43.
