Interesting comment on a ‘way out’ for Comey/Mueller at reddit:
IF Mueller and Comey were both to verify under oath that they’d been struggling for years to clean up the Bureau but couldn’t until now, I think enough of the prosecutions would stick for most Americans. Its a useful narrative and a good one to consider.
Were they both given immunity in exchange for their assistance in a complete teardown/rebuild of FBI?

That’s a lot of VERY EXPENSIVE tungsten. It occurs to me, at the reentry speeds envisioned, wouldn't there be a glow like from a meteor? Wouldn't somebody see these things coming down?

Yep. They'd be seen just like a meteorite. But they are moving fast and little could be done to "blunt the impact." Angle entry is near normal. Mach 10, about 6000 MPH, 8800 feet per second. Might have a good 5-10 seconds of visibility.
