Daddy lived with me 10 years after the heart doctors said it could be any time. What a blessing for both of us We weren’t able to do the same for mama. She had dementia and needed 24/7 trained care.
It was good to be able to care for Mother after all of the years of care she had given her 9 children and many, many grandchildren. Miss you, Mom.
Same here. Dad stayed with me for 5 years. Precious time. Managed to keep him out of the nursing home. It was sometimes tough. I had to take early retirement to do it, and the money was and is tight, due to that.
