When I lived there my wife and I would ride the bus to go to the Mariner games. It only took one trip to realize that the crazy people ride the bus. Rode on the light rail several times and never experienced the same feeling. Nothing compares to Portland public transit though. One day I saw a guy on a bench in front of Zupans on Burnside who looked like he was having a problem. We went into Starbucks and told some police who happened to be there and they checked him out and then said - oh..he probably just had some heroin - like it was no big deal.
I’ve got some interesting stories about the bus up here...my sister said I should do a blog. Yesterday there was a woman dressed like - well I’m not sure if it was a rooster, Cinderella, or flames. LOL
