Our High School (and Junior High) had 3 books on Ty Cobb. After reading them he and Detroit became my favorites.
I doubt if any player ever has been falsely maligned as much as Cobb.
I loved the 1968 World Series with Mickey Lolich, Al Kaline, Norm Cash, Denny McClain, Mickey Stanley etc.
