I think that I recall the order was for Mueller to pursue any and all avenues the Russian Collusion investigation took him and maybe the order was worded thusly to allow him to go where the collusion really occurred...Clinton, Obama, Deep State operatives, etc...under cover of going after Trump.
This is a very cleverly orchestrated sting with many many moving parts and it seems that it is a masterpiece. Mueller must have been informed of what Trump knew during the interview and in order to save himself, agreed (to whatever extent a black/grey hat can agree) to proceed. He (Mueller) knows well his own history and maybe was given a way to save himself.
Comey confuses me. Seems awfully simple minded for the head of the FBI not to understand about classified/unclassified, leaking vs. sharing his diary with a friend.
Reminds me of all the times Obama said he found out about all the scandals in his administration from the media. And all Hillary’s scandals/crimes were debunked. These three are either the stupidest people we have ever had in government or big fat liars.

Thanks for your understandings on these matters. I agree it is a sting, that Mueller was most likely given a choice by POTUS Trump, and he chose wisely. Pursuing wherever the leads led to, and they all led to Dems, and none to Trump.
I think these people like Comey are evil; they think they are clever, but their cleverness is so twisted by arrogance and ill intentions that it is all boomeranging back on themselves. He and others knew they were lying but they don’t see it as wrong because they are the Great Elites and we are deplorables in a basket.
And whoever the gods would destroy, first they make mad.

I lived for a time where Dutch grew up and worked as a lifeguard on the river. My office was right next to the County Republican headquarters when he won in ‘80. With the Poles beginning to take back their country from the Communists, starting with Lech Walesa in the Lenin Shipyards, it was a surely a heady time.
