In practice you could be right...

But if that 1 person is overwhelemed then who gets them ammunition?

Mass attack will defeat them, numbers is a lot of what Alinsky talkd about like pulling down the Government by overwhelming social systems by getting millions to utilize them

Very interesting corollary book is Sun Tzu and the Art of Business, written by a Colonel if I remember correctly in the Air Force and he applies all the wisdom there into a usable model for Business

I say it will give you a much different application of Sun Tzu’s wisdom that may be far more digestable

https://www.amazon.com/Sun-Tzu-Art-Business-Principles/dp/0199782911

I have read both and this one is a great to help business people learn strategies and tactics applicable in the professional space

Sun Tzu is much more multi dimensional than Alinsky. The Rules For Radicals are designed to organize poorly educated and/or easily manipulated mobs. Sun Tzu covers a much wider variety of situations, including knowing Alinsky and how to counter the rules and use them against the radicals, using a force of better trained and disciplined personnel. Application of the third rule, go outside of the experience of the enemy, is especially effective. They expect their enemies(meaning us) to roll over every time they go on TV ranting their talking points or they show up with a rent-a-mob. Not rolling over, but attacking with many different methods not familiar to the radicals, keeps them on the defensive and creates confusion, fear, and retreat.

One more thing. Sun Tzu would not advocate mass attacks on a Gatling Gun. He would appear weak there to draw out the enemy, or look for where the enemy is weak.
