Iran is unstable. Lots going on that is unreported on purpose to give the illusion that Iran is bigger than it really is.

I suspect something similar to the NK turnaround is in play. We know who the string pullers and real bad guys are, and they are dead men walking. Once that pressure is off, the political leaders are free to see the light and welcome prosperity to the public, on the condition that they denuclearize.
